24 1/2 facts about me

For those of you readers who don’t know me super well, here are my 24 (and a half) interesting facts to help you get to know me.

  1. I am in love with my husband and we’ve been married for almost 7 months.
  2. Our love story is like a Shakespearean comedy. (Seriously, it’s actually a little ridiculous)
  3. In college, I double majored in English Writing and Radio/TV. I am currently finishing up my Masters in Education.
  4. While in college, I went to Latin Mass every Sunday and I LOVE IT.
  5. I have no sense of smell   (5 1/2- Yes, I can taste and yes, I was born like that)
  6. I recently bought a little succulent because he “looked lonely.” I’ve named him.
  7. My husband is a Catholic missionary with an organization called FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students).
  8. He proposed to me in a cemetery with a ring made out wood from a tree there.
  9. Our wedding bands are also made out of wood and are third-class relics of St. Therese and her (now canonized!!) parents Sts Louis and Zelie Martin
  10. I once went on a road trip in search of a homeless man who gave me a birthday present.
  11. I can play the piano and I am currently attempting to learn the ukulele.
  12. I love baking. I bake chocolate chip cookies that will knock your socks off.
  13. I take tea without cream or sugar, and drink it every chance I get.
  14. Whenever I am in the middle of a really enjoyable book, I put it in my purse or bring it with me in the car even if I know I will not have an opportunity to read it.
  15. The only bone I’ve ever broken was my ankle and even the cast didn’t stop me from performing in my dance recital when I was 13.
  16. That being said, I am incurably stubborn and have more of a temper than  most people realize.
  17. I’ve lived in Spain for 2 months and Austria for 4.
  18. I love Robin William’s movies, my favorite being “The Fisher King”
  19. The book I have read the most times is “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton.
  20. My favorite play is “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” by Stephen Adly Guirgis.
  21. I have challenged myself to read 24 books in the year 2016 (and you can follow my progress on Goodreads.com)
  22. I have a fear of heights and falling into the shark tank at the aquarium.
  23. I am a Ravenclaw…uh, I mean, huge fan of Harry Potter.
  24. I now work as a Catholic campus minister, which I never expected to do but I absolutely love it.
